This year, many events for students, such as job application fairs, could not take place as planned. Demand for IT security services is growing \u2013 and the industry needs capable young consultants and analysts more than ever. We were therefore particularly motivated to create opportunities for students and other interested parties to exchange ideas and gain insights into the professional world of IT security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe record number of registrations for our Student Events clearly showed how high the demand for such events is. I\u2019m very happy that we were able to provide 150 students from all parts of Germany with insights into IT security,\u201d says Mareike Gass<\/strong>, Head of CST Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At Young Connect @ CST: Ask our IT Security Professionals<\/strong> in November, four colleagues from usd AG answered the questions of almost 50 interested people about their daily work via video chat. After all, anyone who wants to enter the industry wants to know what awaits him or her there. How often do IT security consultants travel? What are the biggest challenges in their everyday work? What does usd expect from applicants?<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFor more than one and a half hours there were questions, answers and jokes via text and video chat, and we had the impression that the participants enjoyed it just as much as my colleagues and I did,\u201d reports Sabine Handoko<\/strong> from usd Talent Management. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Also in November, our usd Hacking Night<\/strong> took place for the first time as an online event. Until late at night, almost 100 participants fought in teams for victory in the Capture the Flag event. Here they had to use their creativity and know-how to identify and exploit various vulnerabilities in our preconfigured server environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Matthias G\u00f6hring<\/strong>, Head of usd HeroLab, attended the event as one of its main organizers: \u201cWe are always pleased to see how many dedicated and creative young talents demonstrate their skills at our usd Hacking Night.
