PCI DSS v4.0.1 Released

In response to stakeholder feedback and questions received since the release of PCI DSS v4.0 in March 2022, the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) released an update to PCI DSS: Version 4.0.1 on June 11, 2024. This update incorporated feedback from key stakeholders such as the Board of Advisors, the Global Executive Assessor Roundtable and leading participating organizations. PCI DSS v4.0.1 will replace v4.0 on December 31, 2024.

Changes in PCI DSS v4.0.1

Version 4.0.1 of the PCI DSS is a minor revision. It corrects formatting and typographical errors and clarifies the objective and intention behind certain requirements and guidances.

No new requirements are introduced and no existing ones are removed.
