Black Hat is a globally renowned conference series in the field of IT security that is highly regarded for its technically demanding and cutting-edge presentations. Originally a single event, Black Hat now offers multi-day events where the international security community presents, discusses and jointly drives forward the latest developments, research findings and trends in the industry.
Our colleagues from usd HeroLab Matthias Göhring and Dustin Born will be presenting two talks at Black Hat USA 2025:
Effective Security Code Reviews in Visual Studio - Introducing Static Analysis Hero (SAH): The talk introduces Static Analysis Hero (SAH), an open source extension for Visual Studio Code that can be used to efficiently detect, document and integrate software vulnerabilities into workflows.
search_vulns: Simplifying the Surprising Complexity of Finding Known Vulnerabilities: This talk will introduce search_vulns, a newly developed tool that addresses the limitations of existing solutions in identifying known vulnerabilities in third-party software. Thanks to its precise search capabilities, fewer input restrictions and enhanced export functionality, the tool can be flexibly integrated into a variety of security-related workflows.
