usd AG Cyber Security Roundtable

usd AG Initiates Cyber Security Roundtable Munich - Kick-off at the Oktoberfest

24. October 2025

The newly established Cyber Security Roundtable Munich aims to promote professional exchange, regional networking and personal dialogue within the IT security industry. Our aim is to bring together experts from different companies and areas on a regular basis – beyond project stress and meeting marathons.

The kick-off took place on 2 October in a special setting: Cyber security professionals from Munich and the surrounding area came together at the Oktoberfest, in the Bräurosl tent, to exchange ideas on current topics such as artificial intelligence, regulatory requirements and the tension between operational security and compliance. The relaxed atmosphere offered the ideal setting for open discussions and new impulses.

"Cyber security thrives on the exchange among each other. But it is precisely this exchange that often suffers from a mountain of meetings, projects and deadlines in everyday life. With the roundtable, we want to create a framework that is deliberately different: personal, relaxed and inspiring at the same time. It is intended to bring together experts from the region to discuss topics openly, learn from each other and take away new impulses."

Nico Fechtner, Managing Security Consultant, usd AG at the Munich office

The roundtable at the Oktoberfest was only the starting point – in the future, we would like to offer regular formats that combine professional exchange and community building. Whether on a small scale or on special occasions, our goal is to strengthen the local cyber security community and build long-term partnerships in the Munich region.

If you are interested in upcoming events or have your own ideas for the exchange, feel free to contact our team: academy@usd.de. We are looking forward to new perspectives and many more exciting conversations.
