usd AG Now Partner to Alliance for Cybersecurity

30. September 2020

After many years as a member of the Alliance for Cybersecurity (Allianz für Cyber-Sicherheit, ACS), usd AG is expanding its involvement with the Alliance as a new partner as of the end of September.

The initiative founded by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) aims to strengthen Germany’s resistance to cyber attacks. This mission, which is particularly important in times of constantly increasing cyber attacks, should be joined by as many actors as possible.

The approximately 4,500 participating companies stem from a wide variety of industries. IT service and consulting companies and IT manufacturers are represented in the network as well as user companies of all sizes and industries.

With its mission “more security”, usd AG has been advising companies on matters of IT and information security for over 25 years. With the CST Academy it promotes exchange and knowledge transfer. usd AG’s increased involvement in the Alliance for Cyber Security is a further logical step in its central corporate mission. “More security can only be achieved in a joint effort,” says Andreas Duchmann, Executive Board Member of usd AG. “We pursue this approach in our daily work and within the framework of our Cyber Security Transformation Academy (CST Academy). As a partner of the Alliance for Cyber Security, we are now actively contributing our expertise and experience to the network, making a further important contribution to boost cybersecurity in Germany,” adds Duchmann.

Within the framework of the partnership, usd has offered participants of the Alliance for Cyber Security free attendance of the usd online live seminar “Introduction to an ISMS according to ISO 27001” on September 29 and 30, 2020, in which parallels to the BSI Grundschutz were highlighted. The participants received an introduction to ISO 27001 and the steps required to implement and develop an information security management system. Because the holistic integration of information security into a company is an important element in achieving greater security.
