usd Circles 2025: Taking Responsibility Together, Sharing Knowledge and Creating New Momentum

4. February 2026

At the start of the year, we would like to recognize the diverse commitment of our employees—both as part of our “more security” mission and beyond. Many of them are involved in initiatives that are not directly related to a company project, but are of great professional and social value. Since 2019, usd Circles have provided a platform for this: inspired by Holacracy, employees from all areas form independent teams to implement projects that are important to them. Now we look back on what these Circles have achieved in 2025.

Responsibility Circle

The Responsibility Circle also consistently applies the mission “more security” outside the company. In 2025, the team organized Girls'Day, where 20 female students gained practical insights into careers in IT security. However, their commitment was not limited to Girls'Day: the team also held lectures and workshops on IT security in everyday life at the FeM Mädchen*haus Frankfurt.

In addition, employees took part in charity runs in Frankfurt, Munich, and Cologne to raise funds for non-profit organizations.

The Responsibility Circle provided valuable aid, especially during the Christmas season: in addition to donations in kind for the Neu-Isenburg food bank, a total of €11,000 was donated to Hilfe für krebskranke Kinder Frankfurt (Help for Children with Cancer Frankfurt) and the FeM Mädchen*haus Frankfurt.

Another significant project was the donation of hardware to Senegal, which gives students better access to online courses and thus improves their educational opportunities in the long term.

Cloud Circle

In 2025, the Cloud Circle focused particularly on sharing knowledge and further developing our expertise in the field of cloud technologies. The Cloud Circle Members regularly discussed current developments, best practices, and security issues in meetings and projects. The overarching goal was to work together to find out how we can offer our customers optimal consulting services and solutions.

AI Circle

Artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most dynamic topics today and poses particular challenges for companies in terms of information security and compliance. In 2025, the AI Circle took an in-depth look at the diverse potential and risks of AI. Our experts from various fields developed strategies to confidently guide companies through the complex AI landscape. The focus was on aspects such as data protection, regulatory requirements, and cyber security. With this work, the Circle provides targeted support to companies in positioning themselves for the future.

Student Circle

Our working students are an important part of our company, and the Student Circle ensures that they can network and develop to their full potential with us. In 2025, the team organized the “Become a Hero Student” program, which took place in December and offered orientation, team building, and deeper insights into usd. In addition, meet & greets were held at all locations, where students came together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Eltern Circle

The Eltern Circle (trans. Parents Circle) started in 2025 with the goal of promoting dialogue about family and career. Employees with family responsibilities find support, networking opportunities, and inspiration for a family-friendly corporate culture here. The Circle provides a space for sharing experiences, questions, and ideas. The platform makes everyday life easier and strengthens teamwork.

We are grateful to everyone involved for their commitment and ideas. The usd Circles are a living example of how we can take responsibility and shape innovation together. We look forward to the projects that lie ahead in 2026!
