Regulations as a Booster for Transformation: usd on Stage at ISF World Congress 2024 in Orlando

22. November 2024

The ISF World Congress is one of the leading events for information security and risk management. With this annual event, the ISF offers its members an opportunity to share solutions, best practices and advice with leading industry experts from around the world. This year, the congress took place in Orlando from November 9-12, 2024.

The organizers have once again prepared a great program: Workshops, inspiring keynotes, lots of breakout sessions and creative networking events at Universal Studios and the congress hotel. I enjoyed meeting so many like-minded and friendly colleagues from all over the world. The open atmosphere of the congress invites you to share not only successes, but also challenges and hurdles. This allows us all to improve.

Andrea Rupprich, Head of ISMS Consulting and member of the Management Board

Our colleagues were not only there as participants this year. Dr. Christian Schwartz, Head of InfoSec in Finance, was on stage with a presentation on “How to Embrace Regulations to Achieve Better and More Efficient Security Outcomes”. In Germany and the EU, regulation - especially in the financial sector - is an omnipresent topic. However, the numerous requirements are often perceived as a burden. In his presentation, Dr. Christian Schwartz argued for a change of perspective and showed how regulation can be used in a strategic way to make security standards more effective and increase efficiency.

Congress is an absolute highlight for me every year and I am delighted that I was able to contribute to it myself. In particular, the discussion with the audience afterwards and the insights I was able to take away from it made the whole event even more valuable and exciting for me.
