Focus on Cyber Security: The ISF Grey Chapter Spring Meeting 2025 at usd AG

20. March 2025

Two days, various perspectives, one common mission: Exchange and networking in the cyber security community. On 13 and 14 March 2025, usd AG hosted the ISF Grey Chapter Spring Meeting on the premises of its CST Academy in Neu-Isenburg. The event brought together members of the Information Security Forums (ISF) and offered an exclusive platform for professional dialogue on current developments and challenges in the field of information security.

"The ISF is a valuable source of resources on current information security topics for everyone in the security community and offers a great platform for exchanging ideas. This is one of the reasons why we at usd have been an active member for many years. It was a pleasure to support the ISF again this year in the role of host of the Grey Chapter Meeting."

Andrea Tubach, Executive Board Member at usd AG

Dialogue as the core of the event

Professional discussions and personal networking went hand in hand at this event. The warm atmosphere was already noticeable from the moment people arrived: many knew each other from previous ISF events and new contacts were quickly made.

The conversations and discussions went beyond the presentations: during the breaks and at the evening dinner, current challenges were addressed from different perspectives, established approaches were reflected upon and new solutions were developed.

Our contribution: Third Party Risk Management in practice

In addition to our role as host, we were also represented on the agenda. Jan Kemper (Head of Security Audits, usd AG) and Nico Fechtner (Managing Consultant Security Audits, usd AG) gave a lecture on “Third Party Risk Management: Lessons Learned from a Global Supplier Audit Program”. It focused on key issues in the context of managing and monitoring suppliers. The presentation shared experiences and best practices from various audit programs.

"The open discussions with the participants were particularly interesting for us. They revealed the different approaches that companies take - and where common strategies can be derived."

Jan Kemper, Head of Security Audits, usd AG

The bottom line: Cyber security transformation - collaboration is key

The ISF Grey Chapter Spring Meeting 2025 showed once again how important regular exchange within the cyber security community is. The event provided space for expert knowledge, new perspectives and practical solutions.

"Such events show that cyber security is a joint task and that sustainable security can only be achieved through collaboration. It was an honor to host this event. Thank you to all participants for the valuable discussions - we look forward to continuing this exchange in the future."

Mareike Clemens, Head of CST Academy, usd AG
