Security analyses and pentests: usd AG holds guest lecture at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

26. July 2023

On July 17, 2023, Matthias Göhring, Head of usd HeroLab, held a guest lecture on the topic of technical security analyses and pentesting at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz as part of the lecture "IT Security" by Prof. Dr. Nicolai Kuntze.

After an introduction to the importance of security of systems and applications, the students got insights into the tasks of a penetration tester as well as the functions, differences and quality characteristics of pentests.

Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to ask their questions. They gladly used this chance, so that a lively exchange with many questions and an exciting discussion arose.

For many years, usd AG has been involved in giving talks, workshops and lectures at various universities in order to convey cyber security in a practical way.

"IT security is becoming consistently more important, which is also reflected by the IT security courses that are increasingly included in the degree programs. I am pleased that we as usd can contribute here by exchanging ideas with students, providing them with practical knowledge and pointing out future career paths."
