Cookies

Below we explain what cookies are, what we use them for on our website and what options you have if you do not agree to the use of cookies.

Cookies are small data packages, such as text files, which are stored on your computer to render your visit to the website more user-friendly. This way, the type of device used or the optimum screen resolution can be detected, for example. Apart from the IP address, no personal data of the user is stored. This information is used to automatically recognise you the next time you visit our websites and to facilitate navigation or to compile anonymous statistics on the use of our website.

We use two different types of cookies that can be distinguished based on their storage duration:

Session Cookies

Session cookies are only stored for the duration of the respective session. They are necessary for the web server to distinguish between different users at all and not inadvertently provide content that is only intended for one user to other users. In that respect, session cookies represent a security measure. If you do not allow the use of cookies, you can still use the website, however not as flexibly.

Persistent Cookies

Persistent cookies can have various functions, which we would like to explain to you in more detail . The different functions have in common that it is necessary to store the cookie for a longer period of time, which is why the storage period is not limited to the individual session. How long a persistent cookie is stored depends on its function.

Performance cookies – are used to display the use of our web pages, for example, to determine the time taken to view an offer. No data is stored in order to personally identify a user.

Functional cookies – Allow you to save user-defined preferences, such as a user name or language setting, to make your visit to the website more convenient.

If you object to the use of cookies on your device:

Of course, you can also view our websites without cookies. If you do not want us to recognise your computer, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your computer by selecting “do not accept cookies” in your browser settings. Cookies that have already been set can also be deleted via your browser. Please refer to your browser manufacturer’s instructions to find out how this works in detail. If you do not accept cookies, however, this can lead to functional restrictions of our offers.

Note: If you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will be deleted as well and must be stored by you again.
