usd PCI Best Practice Workshop

Our usd PCI Best Practice Workshops are now an established tradition: Twice a year, we inform you about news concerning PCI standards and provide practical knowledge for implementation in your company.

Regardless of the online format, the goal remains the same: Our workshop creates a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences with responsible PCI personnel from other companies and to discuss with our experienced PCI experts.

Workshop Agenda: PCI DSS v4.0

The final version of PCI DSS v4.0 has been released at the end of March 2022. In the first months we aimed to clarify the most important questions for affected companies: What are the new requirements? From when do you have to certify according to this version? What are useful next steps? Now it is time to address the implementation and initial practical experiences.

Best Practice Presentation

Qualified Security Assessor Raphael Heinlein shares with you the most important requirements that PCI DSS v.4.0 has brought to e-commerce companies. In this part of the workshop, we do not only look at the mere requirements of the standard, but also give practical tips for next steps and, if necessary, technical implementation options - for your compliance and more security.

Discussion

The significant update of the standard was necessary to reflect the increased use of technologies in practice (e.g. cloud services or microservice technologies). Given this, can the security requirements of the PCI DSS - especially version 4.0 - be a good baseline for your IT security outside of the CDE? This question will be discussed by our PCI and KRITIS assessor Vinzent Ratermann in the last part of the workshop.
